New Baby Keepsakes
If, like me, you find memories come flooding back when you go through all the old baby clothing boxes that you’ve got tucked away, then you’ll probably also struggle with the idea of getting rid of them. If you can’t bring yourself to hand them down, or sell them on, there’s another option – creating keepsakes from baby clothes!

Memory Blanket
Create a quilt out of material from old baby clothes or blankets. I found some really good tips for putting together a quilt from Martha Stewart. This works really well with clothing that has a distinctive pattern – something that you’ll remember every time you use your quilt. Different textures work well too and make it a bit more interesting.

Keepsake Cushion
Take your favourite Babygro or outfit – something with a memorable pattern – and use it as material for a cushion cover. Much like the process above this could be a patchwork cushion, or just one pattern, depending on how much material you have.

Forget Me Not Frame
Get yourself a deep box frame and select a few key items from your baby wardrobe – something like a babygro, a teddy and socks or pram shoes. Display these in the box frame, attaching them to the board within the frame so they don’t move about, and you’ve got yourself a lifelong baby keepsake! Think about background too – you could cut up some fabric as a backdrop, or use pretty wrapping paper.
